Capture a Digital Image v3:

CDI has a PDF book and series of electronic files developed for the beginners in digital photography. It does not concentrate on any particular software editing package, but covers all the main areas that you need to know to get started creating digital images.

CDI also has a series of video Podcast episodes that follow the book. You can subscribe to these as video podcasts using www.melneumann.com/studentzone/cdi.xml as the url. The episodes use primarily Photoshop Elements 4 for image editing.

CDI has a further section of tips and tricks that are being developed and will be available soon using Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CS2.

CDI is suitable for use as a resource for in the Australian ICA05 training package for the competency Capture a Digital Image. If your studying at TAFESA Panorama or Noarlunga with Mel you can download Semester 2 2006 study guide Here.

XHTML and Dreamweaver 8

XD8 has a PDF book developed for the beginners to Web development and Design. It uses teaches you to initially code XHTML in no particular web package, creating a basic understanding of XHTML. Dreamweaver 8 is used to extend the code knowledge and manage web sites. There is a strong focus on Web Standards and best practice and understanding good web design elements.

XD8 will be further developed with video episodes as the mel gets the time to do it. Keep posted for that one!!

XD8 is suitable for use as a resource for the Australian ICA05 training package for the html competencies and basic web development areas.
